This new Mountain Trainer 2 from Salewa is their best climbing and most technical all around approach shoe to date.  The midsole is stiff enough to edge on the rock, but flexible enough for comfort on the approach.  The leather upper and 360° rand provide protection from abrasion and increase longevity.  The to-the-toe lacing goes as close to the end of the toe as possible, allowing for a broad fit range and room for your toes on the way in and out when loosened up, while providing a more precise fit on the rock when cinched tight for climbing.  A special midfoot zone creates comfort, grip, and stability for use on via ferratas.   A stretch “gaiter” over the laces helps keep debris and the elements out.  The Vibram® sole completes this outstanding feature-packed versatile shoe.
